Day of School
Let’s
Create a Special Memory
As
your School Days begin
Something to remind us of
The size that you were then.
So
that in the future
As we watch you grow
We can see your tiny handprint
And in our hearts we’ll know
That
on this day as you walked away
But turned back to wave
Even though my heart skipped a beat
I knew I had to be brave.
And
perhaps a few tears
Might have made my eyes burn
But I knew we both had
Many lessons to learn
And
though other hands will guide you
Teaching you what they can
I will cherish this special keepsake
Knowing Mommy always holds you hand.
